What each result field means
Wyoming uniquely splits “good standing” into two separate indicators. An entity can be Active but still not in good standing if it missed an annual report or lost its registered agent, so always check both.
| Field | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Filing ID | Unique state ID, with a clickable link to the full entity record |
| Entity Name | The legal registered name of the business |
| Type | LLC, corporation, LP, nonprofit, or statutory trust |
| Status | Active, inactive, administratively dissolved, revoked, or withdrawn |
| Standing, Tax | Whether the entity is current on its Wyoming annual report & license tax |
| Standing, RA | Whether a valid registered agent is on file |
| Filed Date | When the entity legally came into existence |
Checking name availability?
Use the “Contains” match type to catch similar existing names. If nothing close appears, that’s a preliminary signal only, your name isn’t secured until the state accepts your filing or name reservation.
